April Lessons

Note: Since I will be joining the Zimbabwe mission team in the month of April, the April lesson summaries will be in this one big post. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep.

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."--John 10:11

"By believing you may have life in [Jesus'] name."--John 20:31

Real life only comes through Jesus, because He is alive!

 Jacob's Altar--Genesis 35:1-15
God's people sacrificed animals on altars to receive forgiveness of sins.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."--Deuteronomy 6:6-7

God is forgiving!

Jesus challenges people to carefully examine the reasons behind their actions.

Jesus redeems!  No matter what we've done, if we come to our redeemer, Jesus, and ask for His forgiveness, He will forgive us.

God's people witnessed His glory in the wilderness tabernacle.

Jesus proves that He has power over death.  

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;"--John 11:25

Jesus is the living proof!

God is Lord of the Sabbath.  When we choose to set aside time to remember and celebrate who God is, we are keeping the Sabbath.
