Review Sunday
Every quarter, our TRU children participate in the review game of ZONK! to help them remember what they've discovered during the past several weeks in the Big God Story.
God commanded the Israelites to set aside 7 days to put up temporary tents to remember and celebrate God's provision. When God God wants us to know that He provides all that we need even when we live on this earth temporarily. He also wants us to look forward to the day when we get to live in our eternal home, heaven, with Him.

Promise of Jesus' Return
(Rev. 19:11-21; 21-22)
Anticipate: "Beginning and Ends"
This week we learn about God’s ultimate ending for His Big Story. It can be scary to think about the end of all times as described in Revelations but the important things to remember are that God Himself has no beginning
and end (is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent).

Game:"Beginning and Ends--Name That Story"
Memory Verse
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
When God sent Jesus into the world, He fulfilled His promise of sending the Messiah to save all people from sin and death.  Jesus not only died on the cross, but He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and promised to come back for us again.  He also sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter, Teacher and Counselor to live in us.  God's story is not finished yet.  When Jesus returns for us, He will come in victory and invite us home to live with God forever.  In heaven, everything good and beautiful will be there.  Jesus' glory will light up the whole heaven.  And there will be no crying, mourning, pain or death.  What a glorious day to look forward to!  God's story is still being written in the lives of His followers today.  It is our responsibility to share His truth and good news with others.
Respond: "CHOSEN Ones"
When we are in the middle of something like school or a test or doing homework it is easy to forget that the Big Story, God’s story is still in play and happening all around us. We can get discouraged or scared or unhappy
when we feel “stuck” but if we can remember that God is infinite and that this powerful infinite God chose us before we were born, it can help make things bearable and put the situation into perspective. Things aren’t so bad when you
have eternity to look forward to!  He has CHOSEN us to be His children whether in this life or the next. We can rejoice at Jesus’ return knowing that from the beginning of time God already chose us as His royal priesthood and has prepared a place in heaven for us!
Bless:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
May our children experience joy because of the gift that God has given them--the gift of eternal life with Him.

10:45am TRU
1st-4th grade
Main Focus: God is Salvation
Paul in Rome
(Acts 27-28)
Anticipate: "Getting to Shore"

Paul was shipwrecked several times in his life and he had to find ways to survive an get to the shore. How did he do it? God provided other people and the remains of the ship to help Paul survive. But Paul had to see the
trash as a way to survive and the people (often his enemies or guards) as those who would help him…in other words he had to see the situation through God’s eyes and look for what God provided him in order to survive.

Worship with Youth Band
Game:"Rapid Journey"
Memory Verse
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
This week we learn from the Apostle Paul who at the beginning of his life did everything he could to persecute and injure Christians. But God already saw that Paul would become His and when called Paul gave up everything and began a difficult life change to become an apostle. Why did Paul struggles so hard to build the early church? He knew he was chosen by God and that even when he was a sinner, God saw Christ in him.  Its important to understand that Paul KNEW God chose him, an unworthy man, to be His apostle.
Respond: "Seeing Myself through God’s Eyes"
Paul must have been absolutely sure he was chosen by God in order to survive and persevere under all the harsh circumstances he experienced. Sometimes we too need to remember to see our circumstances and ourselves through God’s eyes.  God see us through the cross, through Jesus death and resurrection that paid for our sins. Because He see Christ in us, He knows we belong to him, so we need to see ourselves in the same way. We are called by God and every time we look into a mirror we need to remind ourselves of that fact.
Bless:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
May our children live by faith as they walk with God.  May our children see how God wants to use them to grow His kingdom and help others live in their new identity.

Main Focus: God Calls Us His Own
Paul in Ephesis
(Acts 119; Ephesians 1)
Anticipate: "Animal Hunt"
God created us to never stop learning or observing. He made us just like Himself! And as we grow up we learn details about things that we take for granted. Most of us have been learning about animals since we were
very little. Because we know how many kinds there are, we can use their attributes to figure out which animal it is even without seeing a picture.

Memory Verse
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
Paul wrote his letter to the church in Ephesus to encourage them to stay true and rejoice in their identity in Jesus Christ.  For believers are chosen, forgiven, redeemed and called to do His good work.  We belong to God.  And He calls us His master piece.  The salvation we have in Him is precious and something to treasure.  Knowing that we belong to Him gives us hope and strength.
Respond: "Being A Creator"
Now its our turn to create something! As you are following instructions and making your animals think about how much MORE difficult and complex it was for God to create the instructions and then make YOU inside your Mom. He spent more time and more care doing that than you will creating these animals and He made sure He got it RIGHT! So when you take these home remember that even as they are your creations, you are God’s precious creation.
Bless:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
May our children know, through Jesus, that they've been chosen to be God's own and that He loves them just as they are.
