Acts 18
 The Holy Spirit encourages believers to faithfully help each other.

Verse: “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.”

Focus:
~Aquila and Priscilla’s special friendship with Paul encouraged him.
~For 18 months, Paul witnessed about Jesus in Corinthians.
~Aquila and Priscilla taught Apollos from Scripture.

Main Focus: Jesus Is King of Kings (Triumphal Entry)
Matthew 21:1-17
ANTICIPATE:  Christ Is King
Today is Palm Sunday and Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem as a King! Christ is indeed King in our lives but not for the reasons those crowds might have hoped. He didn’t come to be an earthly king but king of eternity so when Jesus went to the Cross on Good Friday people’s hopes were crushed. His rising on Easter Sunday changed the world.
Memory Verse: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.  (John 17:3)

On that very bad Friday, Jesus endured torture, humiliation and death on the cross to bring very good news so we might be forgiven through Him and be able to live forever with Him.  Good Friday is good because Jesus loves you and me.  
RESPOND: Hidden Message Cross
We need to remember the message that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus to die for our sins. Palm Sunday is just the beginning of the week. Without the cross the celebration of Jesus’ entrance to Jerusalem is meaningless. And without Jesus’ resurrection His sacrifice would not save us.
God wants us to know Him and His love.  That's why He sent His Son.  We can cry out to Him today, "Hosanna!  Save us!" as we invite Him to be our Savior and take His rightful place as King of our lives.
Matthew 21:9: "Hosanna to the Son of David!” "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” "Hosanna in the highest heaven!"

May our children know that Jesus is the King of Kings.  May they be full of joy and praise because He alone is the King over all the earth.

Main Focus: Jesus Loves You and Me (Good Friday)
Luke 22-23; John 3:16
ANTICIPATE:  What's In Your Head/Heart?
On Good Friday, Jesus died on the cross for all of mankind.  He chose to do this because He loves each one of us so much.  He loves all of us, even our unique traits and quirks.  He loves us exactly the way we are because each of us is unique and has different things inside our heads and our hearts.
Memory Verse: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.  (John 17:3)

RESPOND: Rainbow Promise Jars
We know in our heads that Jesus loves us and died for our sins.  But sometimes it is hard to remember all the promises that God made to His children (that's us!)  Knowing God loves us in our heads is one thing but we all need a reminder sometimes.
Ephesians 3:17b-18:   “I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

May our children be deeply rooted in the knowledge that Jesus loves them.  May they have the power to understand the width, length, height and depth of Jesus' love for them.

God shows people what He is like through the Ten Commandments.
Verse: 
"In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome."--1 John 5:3
Focus:
~God gave us the Ten Commandments.
~God wants people to obey His rules.
~God's rules help people live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

~Believers can choose to praise God even in difficult situations.
~God gives believers victories over their enemies.

Main Focus: Jesus Is God's Son (Baptism of Jesus)
Luke 3:1-22
ANTICIPATE:  Clue
God used John the Baptist to announce the arrival of the Messiah. For hundreds of years, through the words of prophets, promises and songs, God had been giving his people clues about his Son’s coming. So when John was part of a whole set of clues God left the Israelites about who Jesus would be and how He would come to them.
Memory Verse: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.  (John 17:3)

Jesus is God’s Son. To make sure the people watching His baptism knew this, God parted the clouds and said so out loud! Amazing! It is even more amazing that God sent His Son to die for our sins because God loves us.
RESPOND: I Am God's Child: God Shines Through Me! God is Reflected in Me!
In God’s eyes we are all unique, beautiful and precious. He designed us to reflect His light to the world and let His light shine through us. We are His children and He loves us very much.
John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

May our children know that God loves them very much and will never stop loving them, no matter what they do.  May our children understand that nothing can make God’s love for them go away.
