Today, through the "Big God Story Game Show" we played, we recalled The Big God Story from the very beginning to end! From the beginning God planned to send Jesus, the Redeemer, to restore the relationship between God and mankind that had been broken by sin.  God revealed Himself to His people throughout time. Someday Jesus will come back to make all things new! Those who believe in Jesus get to play a special role in The Big God Story, too!
RespondThe Big God Story Hunt
From the very beginning of the Big God Story, God promised to send a Redeemer and then fulfilled His promise by sending His Son Jesus. This Redeemer, Jesus lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again so we could have life with Him.
Jesus is the One whom The Big God Story is all about! Jesus came to live among us and make the way for us to be in relationship with God forever.

Bless
May our children know God has given them a special role to play in the Big God Story.  May our children be blessed by His gracious love for them so their lives will be a blessing to others.

Game: Beginnings and Endings --New That Story!

Memory Verse
" But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."--John 20:31

In the beginning, God and humans lived in perfect community in the garden.  Unfortunately, sin destroyed that harmony.  But God had a plan.  He sent His only Son to die for us and restore the relationship between men and God.  In the end, God will establish a new heaven and earth where we will once again live in perfect harmony with God and others.  God is the beginning and the end.  We have hope in Him.

Respond: Heaven
In today’s part of the Big Story, God gave John a vision of what heaven will be like.  John described the architecture and landscape of heave in details for us to have a glimpse of what heaven is like.

Bless
Revelation 22:17  The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

Jesus loves us so much that He died for us and rose again, and He’s coming back someday soon to reign on earth.
May our children share this good news with someone else this week.  May they know God loves them and wants to spend forever with them.  May our children accept His free gift of everlasting life.

Book of Romans : Path to Life
(Romans 1-10)

Anticipate: The Price Is Right Game
God's gift of salvation and the hope that we can be with Him in heaven one day is free.  It is the gift of God, not by the result of work (Ephesians 2:8-9).  We can be thankful that eternal life from Jesus is free.

Worship with songs: led by Youth Band

Memory Verse
" But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."--John 20:31

In today’s part of the Big Story, we leard about Paul's letter to the Romans which was filled with good news about Jesus, our Lord of life.  Jesus came to give life to those who chose to believe in and follow Him.  Through faith in Jesus, we can be free from the punishment for our sin and we can receive new, spiritual life

Respond: Path to Life Cross
The Path to Life plan of salvation, also known as the Romans Road, helps us understand how each of these verses lead us to salvation in Jesus only.

Bless
Psalm 16:7-11  I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.  I keep my eyes always on the LORD.  With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.  You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

May our children know that Jesus is the Lord of life.  May they remember that God offers them salvation through Jesus.
