Nicodemus' Question
(John 2:23-25; 3:1-21)

Anticipate: "Unveiling Hidden Messages"
Today’s story is about a Pharisee named Nicodemus who came to Jesus at night because he didn’t want people to see him. But God sees everything, and He saw what was going on in Nicodemus’s heart.  Imagine how hard it must have been for Nicodemus to find Jesus at night!.

Memory Verse
“The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.”                                                                                —Psalm 145:8

Today, we learn the story of Nicodemus visiting Jesus at night.  Jesus explained to him that it's not enough to admire Jesus' miracles or knowing Jesus' authority and mission, but one must be born again by the Spirit.  Although no one can see the Spirit, the impact of the Spirit in a person's life is always evident.  The Bible does not tell us what Nicodemus did after his visitation with Jesus.  But we can read about Nicodemus in 2 other incidences recorded in the Bible and find a significant growth in his courage to stand up for Jesus and eventually publicly demonstrating his faith in and love for Jesus by burying Jesus' body.  We see the evident of God's Spirit in Nicodemus, transforming him from a man who was afraid to a man with courage.  This transformation took place because of God's love for us through Jesus Christ.  And we can have confidence that all who choose to believe in Jesus, can receive God's love and be transformed to be more and more like Jesus each day.

Respond: "Secret Decoder Wheel"
Nicodemus asked Jesus many questions about salvation alone one night, almost like it was a secret. Thankfully, we do not have to uncover a secret message to know how to gain salvation. God loves each of us and sent his son to die for us, so that we may receive eternal life. It is not a secret!  Share the news with all those around you!

Good Friday and Easter
(Luke 22-24)

Game: "Laying Eggs" Team Relay

Memory Verse
"The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love."--Psalm  145:8

Like the Passover lamb, Jesus sacrifice Himself on the cross on our behave.  Just like death passover the houses with the lamb's blood on their door frames on the 1st Passover in Egypt, because of the blood of Jesus, death passover His believers.  Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the world, so all who believe in Him can be forgiven, restored and have new life.  Jesus IS our Passover Lamb.

Respond: "Easter Baskets" with Cheering for Jesus
Easter baskets signify new life, rebirth and renewal.  In church history, eggs were often used to symbolize our soul.  Giving Easter baskets is a reminder for us to give our hearts and souls to Jesus and each other.

Main Focus: Remember and Celebrate God's Faithfulness
The Feast of the Trumpets

Anticipate: Building God's Kingdom Together
God wanted His people to remember His faithfulness through the help of feasts and festivals.  The Feast of Trumpets consists of a time of rest, an offering made by fire and blowing of trumpets.  The blowing of trumpets starts off the 10 days of repentance in order for the Israelites to be prepared for the Day of Atonement.  This feast gave God's people time to remember what God had done for them and to focus on obeying and loving God, who had been so faithful to them.
