Promise of Jesus' Return
(Rev. 19:11-21; 21-22)
Anticipate: "Beginning and Ends"
This week we learn about God’s ultimate ending for His Big Story. It can be scary to think about the end of all times as described in Revelations but the important things to remember are that God Himself has no beginning
and end (is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent).

Memory Verse
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
When God sent Jesus into the world, He fulfilled His promise of sending the Messiah to save all people from sin and death.  Jesus not only died on the cross, but He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and promised to come back for us again.  He also sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter, Teacher and Counselor to live in us.  God's story is not finished yet.  When Jesus returns for us, He will come in victory and invite us home to live with God forever.  In heaven, everything good and beautiful will be there.  Jesus' glory will light up the whole heaven.  And there will be no crying, mourning, pain or death.  What a glorious day to look forward to!  God's story is still being written in the lives of His followers today.  It is our responsibility to share His truth and good news with others.
Respond: "CHOSEN Ones"
When we are in the middle of something like school or a test or doing homework it is easy to forget that the Big Story, God’s story is still in play and happening all around us. We can get discouraged or scared or unhappy
when we feel “stuck” but if we can remember that God is infinite and that this powerful infinite God chose us before we were born, it can help make things bearable and put the situation into perspective. Things aren’t so bad when you
have eternity to look forward to!  He has CHOSEN us to be His children whether in this life or the next. We can rejoice at Jesus’ return knowing that from the beginning of time God already chose us as His royal priesthood and has prepared a place in heaven for us!
Bless:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
May our children experience joy because of the gift that God has given them--the gift of eternal life with Him.
