Paul in Rome
(Acts 27-28)
Anticipate: "Getting to Shore"

Paul was shipwrecked several times in his life and he had to find ways to survive an get to the shore. How did he do it? God provided other people and the remains of the ship to help Paul survive. But Paul had to see the
trash as a way to survive and the people (often his enemies or guards) as those who would help him…in other words he had to see the situation through God’s eyes and look for what God provided him in order to survive.

Game:"Rapid Journey"
Memory Verse
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
This week we learn from the Apostle Paul who at the beginning of his life did everything he could to persecute and injure Christians. But God already saw that Paul would become His and when called Paul gave up everything and began a difficult life change to become an apostle. Why did Paul struggles so hard to build the early church? He knew he was chosen by God and that even when he was a sinner, God saw Christ in him.  Its important to understand that Paul KNEW God chose him, an unworthy man, to be His apostle.
Respond: "Seeing Myself through God’s Eyes"
Paul must have been absolutely sure he was chosen by God in order to survive and persevere under all the harsh circumstances he experienced. Sometimes we too need to remember to see our circumstances and ourselves through God’s eyes.  God see us through the cross, through Jesus death and resurrection that paid for our sins. Because He see Christ in us, He knows we belong to him, so we need to see ourselves in the same way. We are called by God and every time we look into a mirror we need to remind ourselves of that fact.
Bless:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”                                          —Acts 4:12
May our children live by faith as they walk with God.  May our children see how God wants to use them to grow His kingdom and help others live in their new identity.
