July 19th Lessons

Village Life with God Lesson 7--Marketplace
God provides everything His people need.

Focus:
~God provides everything we have and need.
~Bible-times people came to the marketplace to sell and buy goods.
~Bible-times people traded for things they needed.

Triumphant Over All Lesson 7--Be Fruitful!

John 14:1-15:17
Jesus promises to help His disciples, even after He leaves.
"This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

Focus:
~Jesus prepared the disciples for His departure.
~Jesus is the only way to God.
~Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide and help His followers.
~Jesus taught His followers to be fruitful.

Philippians 3-4 

ANTICIPATE:  
A Personal Letter Activity
This game reminds us that Paul wrote letters to different churches to encourage them while he was in prison.  

Worship with singing:  led by JrHi / High School band

Memory Verse: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."  (Isaiah 41:10)


While Paul was in chain and in prison, he wrote to the church in Phillipi and share the secret of contentment.  Contentment is being ok with what we have and trusting God that He is taking care of us no matter what.  We learned how to be content when we feel sad, worried, grumpy, weak and hopeless.  God's word in Philippians 4:8 says:
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."

Being thankful helps us focus on what God has done for us and look forward to His work to come.
May our children learn and exercise the secret of contentment no matter their situation.  May they grow to be grateful people of God.
