Memory Verse:
"with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever." --Psalm 136:12

Today we learn that God Dwells with His people through the stories of Building of the Tabernacle.  Because God loves His people so much, He desires to dwell among His people.  However, God is holy, that those with sin (that's all of us) may not approach Him.  So God gave the people of Israelites detailed instructions to build the Tabernacle and who can and how to approach Him after sanctification. Within the Tabernacle, God's presence, the Ark of the Covenant, resides in the Holy of Holies, separated by a thick curtain to where the high priest may approach.  Sin separates people from God, and that's what the big curtain represented.  God's presence filled the Tabernacle by the form of a cloud.  The Israelites could see God's presence and knew that He was near.
God still dwells with His people today, first by sending His Son, Jesus.  Then, after Jesus' ascension, sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within each believer.

RESPOND: Thankful Pumpkin

God is always with His people.  This pumpkin will help us remember the different times God has been with us and the times we need to have His presence in our lives.
Bless:"with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever." --Psalm 136:12
May our children know that God is with them, no matter where they go.
