Anticipate: "Feeling the Solution"
Most of us have never had to live with any kind of disability: blindness, deafness, leprosy, chronic pain etc. This kind of wellness keeps us from understanding how desperate such people are for a cure or any relief from
ongoing pain. Today we will hear about different people who needed Jesus’ help. Jesus healed with a touch but the afflicted needed to acknowledge both their need for help AND Jesus ability to help them. They had to believe He could heal AND find a way to get close to Him and get His attention (or at least as the woman knew, to touch Him). Today we need to do both as well, if we are to be forgiven from our sins. We need to come to Jesus knowing our own faults and that if we ask, He will help us solve our problems in a Godly way (not
necessarily in the way we want!).

Memory Verse
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."--Hebrews 4:16

Today, we learn the story of Jesus time in the wilderness where He met the devil who tried to tempt Him to sin. Wow! Did it ever occur to you that Jesus could be tempted? Remember He was all human AND all God
so He understands our feelings, our thoughts and even our temptations. The way Jesus responded to Satan is a good lesson for all of us. He used bible verses to remind Himself of God’s commands and to rebuke Satan at
the same time. Being tempted is not wrong.  Jesus was temped yet He did not sin because He knew exactly what God intended for Him.  He wanted to honor God and not misuse His power.  We, too, can resist temptation, with God's help.

Respond: "Message in a Bottle"
This bottle is a reminder to  you to come to God and ask Him when you need help!  Unlike a bottle that is tossed into the waves without knowing if anyone would get the message, when we ask God for help, He always responds. Whenever you see this bottle, remember you can go to God in prayer and tell Him anything.

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”                                                        —Hebrews 4:16

May our children know that God answers and helps when they call out to Him. May God comfort, heal, and give them peace.
