March 15th Lessons

1st-2nd grade
False Worship

Ms. Rebecca talked about what false worship means and read the story of King Manasseh from 2 Chronicles 33:1-20.

"Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them."--Deuteronomy 11:16

God is almighty and He rejects people who worship anyone or anything other than Him.

God's Work

Mr. Allen led the class through Luke chapter 10 (Jesus Sends Out the Disciples, The Disciples' Joy, The Good Samaritan, Mary and Martha).

"He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'"--Luke 10:2

Jesus shows His disciples that loving and serving God is most important.

Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)

During Anticipate, the small group leaders played the searching game and "Where's Waldo" with the kids.  The youth joined us in the searching for memory verse puzzle games.

The youth band led us sing "Rejoice In The Lord Always", "God Is So Good", and "Jesus Loves Me".

Jesus ' mission on earth was to seek and save.  In order to accomplish this purpose, Jesus hung out with sinners and developed relationships with the outcasts.  Jesus wanted to save them from sins and bring them into relationship with God.  Jesus sought and saved Zacchaeus.  Today, Jesus seeks after us, too.
