Personal Worship

Ms. Ruth talked about what personal worship means and read King David's prayer in Psalm 63.

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.  --Psalm 63:1a

God is sovereign.  He meets personally with everyone who worships Him.

God's Rewards

Mr. Allen led the class through Luke chapter 12:1-21, 35- 13:39.

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also..'"--Luke 12:34

Jesus shows that the way His believers live on earth determines how God will reward them in heaven.

10:45am TRU
1st-4th grade
Mary Anoints Jesus (John 12:1-11)
During Anticipate, Mrs. Allen prepared  "What's That Smell" guessing game for the kids.
The classroom was filled with different fragrances and smell (i.e. lavender, coffee, perfume, ginger, cooked fish...etc.)
The youth band led us sing "Shake A Friend's Hand", "God Is So Good", "I've Got Peace Like A River", and "Father Abraham". Now the kids were more familiar with the youth band, there were more smiles, more singing voices, and more giggles.
While Martha served her dinner guests, Mary came to Jesus with her most important possession, a jar of expensive perfume.  She worshiped Jesus with her treasured possession because she knew Jesus is worthy.
We also talked about supporting the Zimbabwe mission team by praying for the children in Zim and praying for the team to share God's love with them.  For those kids who would also like to support Hands of Hope financially, they were encouraged to bring their coins in the treasure box next week.
