Triumphal Entry (Matthew 21:1-211; John 12:12-19)
Jesus Is King
During Anticipate, the kids made palm branches in preparation for the Big God story.

It's always so much fun when the youth band comes to sing and play the opening games with the kids.
When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, crowds of people lined up to worship Him as a king. They cried out, “Hosanna!” and laid palm branches onto the street. But Jesus wasn’t the warrior king the people expected.   He came to fulfilled the 500 year old prophecy and He was the King on a mission of peace, bringing people into relationship with God.
May our children trust Jesus to be the King in their lives.  May they know that they could call out to Jesus and He will save them.  May the children know that the King of heaven and earth loves and cares for them.
